Divisions & Ring Assignments
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN MY DIVISION IS CALLED?
At weigh ins you will be given a fight card. When your division is called, you will bring your fight card for that division to the ring and give it to the ring coordinator at the ring table. The coordinator will verify the competitor is in the division that was called. The competitors will be separated by weight, experience and school.
At the end of the contest, the referee will raise the winner's hand (decided either by Submission or Referee's Decision). When you win, go to the ring coordinator to ensure that you are properly advanced to the next round. The winning competitor will take a seat and wait to be called back to fight again. This process continues until there is a single winner! This is a single elimination tournament but we do award 3rd place, you may be asked to fight again, even if you lost your prior match. Consult your ring coordinator.
